Defined as:
- Game consoles that feature discrete transistor-based digital game logic
- A game's playfield only consists of one screen
- Either single-channel or no audio during game play.
- The objects and the characters are represented by simple dots, lines, or blocks.
- The games are built-in to the consoles themselves rather than having removable media (i.e. cartridges)
