Defined as: 
  • Game consoles that feature discrete transistor-based digital game logic
  •  A game's playfield only consists of one screen
  • Either single-channel or no audio during game play.
  • The objects and the characters are represented by simple dots, lines, or blocks.
  • The games are built-in to the consoles themselves rather than having removable media (i.e. cartridges)
